Today's itinerary (planned out by my lovely sister Emma) is chock full of museum visits cos we gotta make the money for our Paris Museum Pass worth every single dollar we paid for!
First stop: Musee de Louvre, the paintings there are oh my gorge!! Stunning artwork. The museum gallery itself is fantastically huge! And there it houses the world famous Mona Lisa!
Cool stuff.
Next we headed down to Musee de Orsay, woah Claude Monet is an artistic genius, his artworks are so beautiful I told my sister that I'm gonna buy his art and put it up on my wall when the money rolls in. Till then, I'd better stick to dreaming. Haha who knows, all things are possible right? No laughing please.
Lovely museum, pity it closed at 530, so we didnt have much time to check out all of the galleries! Might go back there on Monday!
Headed over to Hotel des Invalides, not really a hotel, it is appropriately called so because it housed many many sick soldiers back during the war, making it sorta like a hotel, but really its a hospital.
Lastly, crossed over to Seine River, B E A U tiful. Haha attempted to take artistic shots and pose for artistic shots. By now our feet were killing us!
Stopped for ice cream along the way, cold strawberry sorbet on a stick.
Then went to a supermarche, supermarket in french. Bought loads of cook it yourself soups that look so good! Mmm french onion soup :D Yay more suppers to come!
Lastly, decided to head over to the Eiffel Tower, okay this is hands down by far the single most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. Really you've gotta catch it, especially at sunset, so so gorgeous.
Such a romantic vibe in the air..haha there's this like field right in front of the Eiffel Tower where everyone's like having a picnic or just chilling with some white wine. So nice with the awesome weather. Heh my family just plopped ourselves down on the grass along with the rest of the Parisians. And we waited for the sky to turn dark so that the ET would light up. It was well worth the wait! Glittering lights first then an awesome glow from the ET, what a sight man! Okay currently number one on my top 5 places for a honeymoon/ retirement/ wedding photoshoot. Hahahaha wonderful place, paris.
I love Paris.
Oops okay I love Singapore too, uh in a different way.
Haha alright its like almost 2 am here, gotta get to bed soon!
Updates soon! And I'll try to upload one photo per post.
Till then,
Ciao!
Night, Gwen :)
